Hello Corsairs!
As Corsairs, the relationship we share with the Western Los Angeles County Council of the Boy Scouts of America is invaluable and individually important to many of us.
From trash collection to clearing brush to comply with fire ordinances, we rely on staff at Camp Emerald Bay to enhance our enjoyment of the cove, and frankly, keep dues much lower than would otherwise be required without their volunteer services. Many member’s children, and many Corsairs themselves, attended and served at the camp. Both organizations call Emerald Bay home; some of us (them) longer than others (us)!
We are excited to announce our participation at the Camp Emerald Bay 100th Anniversary Celebration being held November 16th at 6:30PM at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles. We want to both invite, and encourage, each Corsair to attend, as well.
While we don’t expect you to be a “Corsair” level sponsor (a name that clearly demonstrates our mutual relationship), purchasing a ticket and your presence would go a long way to show support and commitment to our continued relationship with the Scouts and Camp Emerald Bay, specifically.
Several members of the Corsair board and bridge will be attending. Some Corsairs have elected to sponsor a table (for which individual seats may be available).
Tickets are $300ea and available until November 1, or until sold out.
